Role Description

We are a University with ambitious and distinctive characteristics and welcome applications from passionate HR professionals to join our community.

About the Role

At this exciting point in our journey, as we embark on the delivery of a new Corporate Plan which is designed to raise our ambition and enhance the distinctiveness of our University through our people, we are seeking a new Senior HR Business Partner for our prestigious School of Management.  This ’embedded partner’ role will have the unique ability to influence the achievement of our people strategy and make a real impact on our staff and student experience through becoming a member of the Leadership Team in the School of Management.

About You

You do not need to have university sector experience, and we welcome applications from individuals who are able to influence and partner successfully with a range of stakeholders. You will be a senior HR generalist who is MCIPD qualified, or equivalent experience, with demonstrable experience of making an impact at a senior level. You will have successfully influenced leadership teams and have managed change initiatives via an intellectually astute and commercially aware approach. You will enjoy the challenge of aligning your work with the strategic goals of a key business unit. This role is hands on and will have a component of operational delivery too.  Reporting to the Head of HR Operations & Resourcing, you will be supported by a HR Business Partner and a range of centralised university services.

About Us

As a specialist postgraduate university, Cranfield’s world-class expertise, large-scale facilities and unrivalled industry partnerships are creating leaders in technology and management globally. Company

Cranfield is world-leading in its contribution to global innovation. With our emphasis on the aerospace, agrifood, defence and security, environmental technology, leadership and management, manufacturing and transport systems sectors, we have changed the way society thinks, works and learns.

We generate and transform knowledge, translating it to the benefit of society. Our partners, from micro SMEs to the largest blue-chip multinationals, from governments across the world to NGOs and charities, tell us this is what they value about Cranfield.

Innovation is part of Cranfield’s ‘corporate DNA’, evolved over 60 years of commitment to this agenda.

Our work informs policy for governments and produces new technologies and products for the world of commerce.
