The Role
Maynooth University wishes to appoint a Cybersecurity Specialist on a full-time permanent basis to be a technical lead in the design, development, operation and support of the cybersecurity aspects of ICT services and their use by the University. ICT services are provided to support: Internet via HEAnet, campus and cloud data centre, campus network, Wi-Fi, voice, Office365, VLE, web, storage and directory services to students and staff. Technical system administration and data backup services for university information systems are provided.
This role reports to the ICT Infrastructure Manager. The successful candidate will actively participate in the design, development, operation, and support of the portfolio of ICT services.
The successful candidate will supervise ad-hoc teams as required. The Infrastructure section work alongside the User Support section as part of the IT Operations function in IT Services.
It may be necessary to work outside normal hours on occasion as is typical with roles involving critical infrastructure and services.
Administrative Officer I (2022) Salary Scale: €51,170 - €73,009 per annum (7 points)
Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
