Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in Experiential Learning in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 515059), to commence on August 1, 2022 or as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above in Education or a related discipline, a professional teaching qualification, at least 5 years’ post-qualification teaching experience in schools or tertiary institutions, and/or other relevant professional or academic experience.  They should have substantial experience in delivering Experiential Learning programmes and in collaborating with NGOs and other community partners.

The appointee will work under the Associate Dean (Learning & Teaching), making contributions at both course and system levels.  He/She will plan and develop Experiential Learning programmes and initiatives for students, conduct orientation sessions and feedback sessions, and undertake site visits.  He/She will review existing projects, produce videos to promote Experiential Learning, liaise with NGOs in Hong Kong and overseas, and share research findings.  The appointee may also be required to take up substantial teaching responsibilities, undertake school practicum supervision and assume administrative responsibilities.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
