Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in Audiology in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 512397), to commence on August 1, 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess an Au.D. or Ph.D. degree in Audiology, and at least 5 years’ post-qualification clinical audiology experience with children and/or adults.  Preference will be given to those who have experience in teaching Audiology or related areas in tertiary institutions.  Those with qualifications and experience acceptable for professional registration with the Hong Kong Institute of Audiologists are preferred.

The appointee will take up substantial teaching responsibilities in speech and hearing sciences and audiology programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.  He/She will also undertake clinical practicum supervision and assume service/administrative responsibilities as appropriate.  More information about the Faculty’s academic programmes and research areas is available on the Faculty website at https://web.edu.hku.hk/.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
