Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in Educational Psychology in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 511626), to commence on August 1, 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Educational Psychology, a professional teaching qualification and at least 5 years’ post-qualification work experience. Preference will be given to those who have experience in teaching Educational Psychology, Counselling and Guidance, Special Education, or related areas in tertiary institutions.  Knowledge of the local context will be an advantage.

The appointee will take up substantial teaching and supervisory responsibilities at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including courses related to educational psychology, counselling and guidance, and special education.  He/She will also undertake school practicum supervision, and assume service/administrative responsibilities as appropriate.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
