Job Description

The lab of Dr. Yu Haojie in Precision Medicine Research Program at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore is looking for a highly-motivated Research Assistant
(RA) to study cardio-metabolic disease.

The lab is using functional genomics and genome editing technology CRISPR/Cas9 to discover novel mechanism regulating atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and translate those findings into new therapy. The RA will be involved in both lab management and research.

The RA will be responsible to, and work closely with the Principal Investigator and team members to manage the lab and to assist with the completion of research projects. Appointments will be made on a 1-year contract basis, with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications

The applicant should:
1. have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related disciplines with good honors from courses.
2. have at least 1-year working experience with mammalian cell culture work and molecular work, such as PCR, qPCR, DNA or RNA extraction and western blot, etc. Experience with mouse work is highly valued.
3. be able to work independently and in a team.
4. display positive attitude and willingness to learn and work hard.
5. proficient in English, both written and spoken.
