Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Advancement office, successful candidate is responsible to advance the philanthropic intent and goals of SUSS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and Cultivate new prospects and develop a strong case for support based on the proposal for the prospects.
• Manage and develop prospect and donor research, major gift strategies as well as donor stewardship plan.
• Build the prospect and donor database through active gathering, analysing, and interpreting data from electronic and other sources in prospect identification and qualification.
• Donor acquisition to meet organisation’s annual targets.
• Identify and coordinate all major gift fundraising activities.  This involves conceptualizing, planning, and executing a comprehensive prospect development programme to enable the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of new and current donors.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, maintain accountability standards to donors, and ensure compliance with the code of ethical principles and standards of professional conduct for development and fundraising.

Job Requirements

• Recognised degree with at least 10 years’ relevant working experience and experience in a managerial position.
• Experience in fund-raising for established large organisations will be an advantage
• Knowledge and experience in donor research will be an asset
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Able to work with different stakeholders to align with SUSS’s strategic direction and goals.
• Independent and resourceful.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
