This exciting post, offered initially on an interim basis for 8 months (end of April 2023), has arisen in the Quality Enhancement and Standards Team (QuEST). We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join QuEST.

The post holder will be responsible for providing professional and specialist guidance to staff across the University on all areas of the University quality enhancement activities and contributing to policy development in these areas.  You will manage the work of the Academic Quality Committee which has responsibility for the appointment of external examiners (in line with the requirement of the QAA and UKVI), overseeing the mapping to the UK Quality Code for Higher Education and the  operation and development of the University's quality assurance and enhancement framework.  You will also support Enhancement and Annual Monitoring activities and participate in Institution-Led Reviews.

The successful candidate should have the following: 

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in Higher Education Administration;
  • Experience of quality assurance / enhancement;
  • Experience of effective committee management, report writing, drafting briefings and presentations;
  • A can-do attitude, a commitment to identifying flexible solutions and a focus on partnership working is essential.
