We are looking for an enthusiastic academic to lead a highly respected programme in Rural Business Management. You will work with the Head of Department in managing the Core Academic Team in the planning, development, preparation and delivery of high-quality education provision within the RBM curriculum framework. Candidates should have strengths in rural business management and entrepreneurship (specific research interests and skills may include, but not limited to, food supply chain management, operations management, digitalisation, resilience and sustainability). Additionally, knowledge of new developments in the current rural sector would be advantageous, as well as fostering strong links with local, national and international industry. Ideally, the successful applicant will be experienced in FE and/or HE delivery, combined with a drive to impact positively on today’s industry.

The successful applicant will also ideally have a track record of research in a related field. SRUC is seeking a closer alignment of its research and education activities and it is hoped that the successful applicant will contribute to world class research carried out within SRUC on terms of grant income and publication output. You will grasp the opportunity to foster cross-disciplinary collaborations and ambitions that will build on current strengths within the department, and across the institution.
