About the opportunity
The Wellbeing Services team has 4x brand new Wellbeing Officer positions available. We are looking for outstanding individuals who are passionate about education and supporting students throughout their university journey.
As a Wellbeing Officer, you will be responsible for providing specialised wellbeing services and case management to students at the University. You will use evidence-based, best practice strategies to deliver timely, accessible, and high-quality services.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- work within a tight-knit team, reporting to the Manager, Wellbeing Services
- facilitate the intake, screening, monitoring, and assessment of the wellbeing needs for students
- develop and deliver support, and interventions with the goal of improving the student experience
- provide triage and crisis intervention including liaison with internal and external service providers
- proactively contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve the student experience
- actively contribute to and promote a safe environment where all people are valued and respected.

- tertiary qualifications in a relevant field combined with related experience
- an understanding of the student experience and its relationship to student service delivery
- demonstrated experience in responding to individuals presenting in crisis and/or incident management
- ability to facilitate engagement with students and stakeholders and delivery of programs
- proven understanding of early intervention strategies
- Mandarin, Hindi, Arabic, Vietnamese, Indonesian and/or Korean language skills are highly desirable.
