Lect/Assist Professor in German
Applications are invited for a Temporary post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in German within UCD School of Languages, Cultures & Linguistics
Candidates should have a PhD in German Studies, or in a cognate area where an applicant has proven interest in, and experience of, working in a German Studies context (including teaching of DaF). The applicant must have an excellent track record in research commensurate with their career stage. They will have German at CEFR level C2.
The successful candidate will ideally have a research specialism in German-language film or visual cultures, to complement the existing team of lecturing staff who specialise in literature, cultural studies and philosophy from the eighteenth century to the present day. German Studies at UCD is committed to delivering high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across a broad curriculum. Applicants who demonstrate the ability to deliver innovative, engaging teaching and who have prior experience of teaching German language at third level are especially welcome.

Salary: 95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar (7943) € 55,951 - € 88,601 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
