The School of Psychology at the University of East London is one of the largest in the UK and has a long-standing leading position in the provision of undergraduate and postgraduate professional training spanning from traditional specialisms to new and pioneering pathways into psychological practice. We are looking for a Lecturer to join our BSc Counselling Programme. This is an exciting opportunity to join an enthusiastic and well-established programme team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of a quality BSc Counselling to our students. The appointed person will make a substantial contribution to teaching, supervision, administrative and training activities on the BSc Counselling. They will also work with the Programme Director to ensure maintenance of excellent standards of professional training accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). The training we deliver is integrative and covers the following modalities: psychodynamic therapy, CBT and person centred therapy.
They will have a postgraduate qualification in Counselling/Psychotherapy or Counselling Psychology and be registered with the relevant professional body (BACP, BABCP, NCS, BPC, UKCP, or BPS and HCPC). Candidates should have experience in providing counselling and psychotherapy services and in supervising practice.
