Our goal is to become the leading careers-focused, enterprising university in the UK, one which both prepares our students for the jobs of the future and provides the innovation to drive that future sustainably and inclusively.

The School of Psychology at the University of East London is one of the largest in the UK and has a long-standing leading position in the provision of undergraduate and postgraduate professional training spanning from traditional specialisms to new and pioneering pathways into psychological practice. This is complemented by a strong research profile, commitment to research informed teaching and to promoting a culture of scholarly activities across the academic year. We are a school that drives innovation and excellence in programme development and student experience.

We are looking for a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer to join our BSc Counselling Programme. This is an exciting opportunity to join an enthusiastic and well-established programme team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of a quality BSc Counselling to our students. They will also work with the Programme Director to ensure maintenance of excellent standards of professional training accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). The training we deliver is integrative and covers the following modalities: psychodynamic therapy, CBT and person centred therapy.

They will have a postgraduate qualification in Counselling/Psychotherapy or Counselling Psychology and be registered with the relevant professional body (BACP, BABCP, NCS, BPC, UKCP, or BPS and HCPC). Candidates should have experience in providing counselling and psychotherapy services and in supervising practice.
