Applications are invited for a Temporary post of a Research Assistant in Peace and Conflict Studies within School of Politics and International Relations
For a research project on peace processes after intra-state conflict, we are creating a dataset of inclusion provisions in peace agreements. As part of the first phase of the project, we will be coding over one thousand peace agreements to capture if/when provisions or quotas to include different groups in various state institutions are adopted. We are seeking a research assistant who will assist in producing this dataset. They will carry out pilot coding on approximately ten percent of the peace agreements to test the applicability of the coding framework.
The post is particularly suitable for current or recent graduate students in political science or related discipline. Familiarity with Nvivo and a reliable, meticulous approach to data management is crucial for the position, while knowledge and interest in peace and conflict studies and/or familiarity with social science research will significantly help.
