The role

We are looking for a Business Continuity Manager* to join our Health, Safety and Risk team, to support the development and implementation of a framework for business continuity.

You will work collegiately with colleagues across the University enabling a coordinated approach to business continuity advice, policy and procedure. You will provide operational support and guidance for the development of relevant business continuity plans. You will  undertake audits of business continuity and crisis management arrangements.

This is a part-time (0.5FTE) permanent position, at 17.5 hours per week, with some flexibility on the days and times.  

What we are looking for

The successful candidate will have practical experience in developing and monitoring the effectiveness of business continuity arrangements in a complex organisation.  They will have proven ability to coach and train managers in developing necessary continuity arrangements to minimise disruption to the running of the organisation during potential emergencies.

You will be confident in liaising with external agencies and internal colleagues and have the skills necessary to plan your own work and feel comfortable working as part of a team.
