The Role

The Teaching and Learning Development Officer will contribute to a range of initiatives and programmes towards the enhancement of Teaching, Learning and Assessment at Maynooth University and to the operation and development of the University Writing Centre. The postholder will also contribute to the development and facilitation of accredited programmes and non-accredited continuing professional development for academic and professional staff, postgraduate tutors and demonstrators, and teaching assistants.

Applicants should hold a postgraduate qualification in Education or a related discipline. They should have substantial experience in delivering professional development workshops in Teaching and Learning to staff and should be engaging in research in Teaching, Learning and Assessment. They should have experience in academic writing support and development for higher education students, and expertise in working with academic staff who wish to integrate writing in the discipline and to support their students as writers.

Administrative Officer II (2022) Salary Scale: € 39,628 – € 56,860 p.a. (9 points)

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions
