Appointment of Head of Gaming

BIMM Institute is Europe’s largest, most connected music and creative arts institute, with 8,200 students studying in 15 colleges based in vibrant cultural cities across the UK and Europe. We are passionate about nurturing talent and enabling future generations to find their place in the creative industries. Exceptional quality underpins all that we do. For over 35 years, we have been committed to developing and supporting industry-ready students, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.

We offer a broad range of Higher and Further Education Courses in Popular Music, Performing Arts and Film-making, and in March 2019, we gained Degree Awarding Powers (DAPs). Furthermore, BIMM Institute has secured a new investment partner, Intermediate Capital Group Plc, a FTSE 100 listed company. We have exciting plans for further growth, domestically and internationally, through strategic M&A, opening new colleges, and expanding our curricula into new creative sectors.

We currently have modules within our Screen and Film School provision that develop skills for the interactive media and gaming industries, and now we are seeking a Head of Gaming to expand on and develop this proposition into a new curriculum area for us. This will encapsulate proposition development, course design and input into the operational delivery to students, initially in Brighton, with an ambition to roll out across the BIMM Institute’s geographical footprint. In addition, this role will lead and shape our Institute’s offer, identifying and managing expert staff and developing an industry network to ensure the relevance of our offer for the high-growth interactive media and gaming market.

You will have experience in the higher and further education sector in the UK or overseas, with an intimate understanding of the gaming or interactive media industry’s current practice to create and develop new courses which will provide students with the best possible skills and opportunities to succeed. We are looking for an aspirational individual who will thrive in our fast-paced environment and is highly motivated to join our ambitious Institute and lead our entry into this exciting new area.
