UTS Science is seeking a new Deputy Dean, a pivotal role reporting to the Dean, Faculty of Science. The Deputy Dean is responsible for assisting the Dean in the provision of leadership across the Faculty and is a member of the Faculty Executive, deputising for the Dean as required. The Deputy Dean supports the achievement of the Faculty’s goals through the creation of a stimulating, innovative and inclusive environment in which students and staff can thrive and develop. The Deputy Dean engages with industry, government and the community, to represent and promote the Faculty. Additionally, the Deputy Dean will work on key projects designated by the Dean and contribute strongly to the strategic direction, culture and performance of the Faculty.

To be successful in this role, you will have proven senior leadership experience and strong scholarship across the spectrums of teaching and/or research in a relevant discipline. Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain beneficial relationships, research collaborations and partnerships externally with government, industry and community groups will be important. This expertise will be complemented by your talent for fostering collaboration, connectivity and innovation across diverse disciplinary groups across the Faculty and the University.
