Job Description

Yale-NUS College is a highly selective liberal arts and science college in Singapore. Co-founded by Yale University and the National University of Singapore, the College is committed to excellence in research and teaching within a full residential programme that integrates living and learning. Its curriculum educates students in Asian and Western intellectual traditions as well as current scientific thought.

The College is seeking to hire 1 full-time Lecturer in Sociocultural Anthropology. We are open to various fields of specialization, with a preference for regional expertise on Asian societies. This position is on a fixed term contract of up to 3 years, starting in the Academic Year 2022-2023. The successful candidate is expected teach five (5) courses each academic year. Advising students and other services will also be required as needed.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Anthropology from a regionally or internationally accredited institution.
  • A minimum of one year experience in undergraduate teaching is preferred.
