Role Description

Cranfield University Pre-School is a small, welcoming, diverse Pre-School based on the university campus. We welcome applications from passionate, skilled, committed, individuals to join our friendly team to prepare and deliver a stimulating curriculum and learning environment. You will adhere to the policies and procedures, maintaining a high level of professionalism, ensuring children are safe and secure.

About the Role

Due to an increase in demand, we are looking to recruit a Pre-School Assistant Level 2/3 in childcare or equivalent to join our fantastic pre-school located at Cranfield University. Candidates working towards a qualification will be considered or if you are looking to undertake a childcare qualification this could be an ideal opening.

This is a brilliant opportunity to work in a pre-school that provides a nurturing environment that will empower children to explore using their natural curiosity and develop through awe and wonder. Our expert childcare team look after children from 2 years 9 months, until they leave to start school. We are looking for a practitioner who is bursting with enthusiasm and great ideas to contribute to supporting our fantastic pre-school.

You will be working alongside other qualified members of staff in a diverse and friendly setting.

Your day-to-day tasks would include:

  • Preparing activities with colleagues using the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Monitoring and supporting child development
  • Ensuring you provide a warm and caring atmosphere for the children
  • Working as part of a team with shared responsibilities
  • Working in partnership with parents

About You

If you are a person who has a proven track-record of working within Early Years, have a level 2 or 3 childcare qualification, or are passionate about working with children and have a willingness to undertake a qualification, we would like to hear from you. You may have previous experience in a similar role or have undertaken voluntary work with children.
