Job description

The University of Johannesburg is actively recruiting for a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Business Management.

Duties:

The incumbent will be expected to:

  • Lecturing in Business Management and/or Entrepreneurship related modules at diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Developing a research pipeline and undertaking proven research in the overarching study fields of Entrepreneurship and Business Management.
  • Developing and maintaining professional and industry partnerships.
  • Partaking in supervision of Postgraduate students at Honours, Masters and Doctoral level.
  • Assisting in academic administration.

Minimum requirements

  • A relevant Doctoral degree in Business Management or Entrepreneurship.
  • Between five and eight’ working experience in the Higher Education environment.
  • Excellent teaching skills and knowledgeable in the field of Business Management and Entrepreneurship.
  • A burgeoning research track record, with publications in reputable journals and conference proceedings.
  • Supervision experience at Masters’ level (completed students).

  • Supervision experience at Doctoral level (completed students).
  • Evidence of visibility within the academic community.
