Applications are invited for a Temporary post of a Senior IT Specialist within College of Engineering and Architecture

UCD College of Engineering and Architecture includes the School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy, the School of Biosystems and Food Engineering, School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering, School of Mechanics and Materials Engineering and School of Civil Engineering.

Through the Schools, we offer a wide range of undergraduate and taught masters programmes and are committed to the on-going development of both discipline specific and interdisciplinary teaching and research. The Faculty within the College are highly research active and are responsible for a great deal of cutting-edge research, resulting in publications in leading academic journals, the creation of campus companies and the commercialisation of research. Based on their research, contribution, reputation and professional standing, academics in the College are leading Members and Fellows of national and International professional bodies, such as Engineers Ireland, the IChemE and the IEEE, and prestigious scholarly organisations, including the Royal Irish Academy, the Royal Academy of Engineering and the US National Academy of Engineering.

The role of Senior IT Specialist is a key role in the College who will support colleagues across the Engineering Schools to IT support to students and to researchers, including Faculty. The successful candidate will work across all Engineering Schools, and will possess analytical and technical skills. The successful appointee will be very important in helping the College to build relationships with UCD IT Services, and will have a keen interest in building strong, collaborative relationships with UCD Engineering and the wider University.

95 Programmer I\2010 Salary scale: €51,392 - €61,775 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
