This is an exciting time to join an organisation with an important role in the UK’s world-class higher education sector. Over the last year, the UK higher education landscape has adapted rapidly in unique circumstances and QAA's priority has been to support providers as they meet these challenges.
We are the UK's independent quality body for higher education with a mission to safeguard and improve the quality of UK higher education, wherever it is delivered in the world. QAA works as the Designated Quality Body for higher education in England, and works closely with the devolved administrations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our new membership scheme was launched in August 2019. We're changing the way we work and introducing new services to benefit universities and colleges throughout the UK and support their operation globally.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced quality assurance professional who shares our commitment to improving and promoting the UK’s world-class reputation for delivering a quality higher education experience for all students.
This role will lead on the delivery of QAA’s international activities, committed to providing high standards of customer service and to driving systems and process changes required to meet those standards. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of all aspects of the Agency’s international work, including QAA’s international membership services, accreditation, consultancy and QE-TNE (quality evaluation and enhancement of UK transnational education). In addition, you will also be responsible for leading on QAA’s international partnership building, ensuring the Agency continues to work with governments, agencies and institutions globally to benefit UK higher education and its international reputation.
About you
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and innovative quality assurance professional, with a broad understanding of service delivery models, concepts and principles gained through extensive business exposure in a diverse range of organisations or services.
You will have a strong track record of identifying, developing and delivering opportunities for international development along with experience of operating within a customer-focused and target-driven environment.
Regular national and international travel will be required.
More information can be found in the job description.
Closing date for applications is on Sunday 24th July 2022 at midnight.
