Short Description
To work with Director and Assistant Director, Office of Academic Services, to manage a team responsible for the smooth administration and provision of curriculum administrative support including processes relating to curriculum set up; course registration; materials procurement and distribution. The incumbent is also expected to identify gaps in processes and workflows and to strategize changes, system enhancements and/or adoption of new IT technologies due to evolving business policies and landscape.
Job Description
- Work with team to execute various operational processes according to action plan and resolve operational issues
- Work with stakeholders to translate new/revised business policies, CPC/AB approvals into implementation plans
- Manage department administration; staff performance and development
- Work with team to actively review and contribute to the improvement of system and processes within/without department
- Work with OAS Director to lead managerial team to analyze and translate new/revised business policies to change requests and strategize for system enhancements
- Work with OAS Director to lead managerial team to harmonize system processes, analyze workflow requirements and make sound recommendation of technical change and solution
- Work with OAS Director to lead managerial team to plan and innovate for progressive efficiency via enhancements to system and/or increase adoption of new IT technologies like RPA
- Provide secretariat support to Academic Board
- Assist with University-wide activities as necessary or assigned (eg graduation, invigilation, etc)
- Assist with other tasks, duties as necessary or assigned (eg minutes taking at OAS meetings, co-ordinate OAS events, etc)
Job Requirements
- Degree with at least 10 years' working experience, of which 5 years at managerial level leading a team
- Able to lead in identifying gaps in processes and workflows and to strategize changes, system enhancements and/or adoption of new IT technologies due to evolving business policies and landscape
- Experience in leading system change analysis and implementation
- Computational thinker with strong analytical and reasoning skills
- Influencer with good interpersonal and communications skills to work well with people collaboratively
- Resourceful, innovative and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, able to work independently and take initiative
- Proficient with Microsoft Office skills
