The Department of Politics, International Relations and Philosophy at Royal Holloway seeks to appoint a Lecturer in International Relations. The successful applicant would be expected to start in September 2022.

About the Department.

The Department of Politics, International Relations and Philosophy is part of the School of Law and Social Sciences. It is a research-intensive unit ranked second in the country by the Times Higher Education following the publication of the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021 results. We provide a full range of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. We carry out research across the different disciplines, but we place special emphasis on our research centres and clusters: the Contemporary Political Theory Research Group, the Centre for International Security, the Democracy and Elections Centre, the Global Politics and Development Centre, and the New Political Communication Unit.

About the role.

This post is cover for an existing member of staff. The successful candidate will convene and deliver modules on our undergraduate programme. We are looking for someone to teach on our 1st year Introduction to Politics course and our 2nd year Research Methods course.

We are also looking for someone with the potential to make distinctive research contributions in the field of politics broadly defined and to contribute to our research centres.

This is a full time fixed term post for 2 years. This post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
