The Australia Pacific Security College (APSC) is located within the Crawford School. The APSC is a joint initiative of the Australian Government and the Australian National University, working to support the Pacific region’s capacity to collectively address shared security challenges. The APSC delivers a range of predominantly face-to-face activities across the region, including training and professional development, workshops, mentoring and alumni networks, research, secondments, seminars and conferences to complement existing bilateral agency-to-agency operational training already delivered across the Pacific region.

About the role

APSC is seeking an experienced Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Reporting Officer to coordinate the internal evaluation of APSC programs and activities, with a particular emphasis on our Executive and Professional Development courses. The Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Reporting and Program Support Officer will also be responsible for implementation of the Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Framework (MELF) as well as MELF related reporting, data analysis and reporting. There will also be an element of coordinating and facilitation professional development courses, based on operational peaks and demands. This role will be responsible to the Deputy Director (Education) and work closely with APSC evaluation partners.

This role requires qualifications and/or substantial experience in training or education design and program evaluation coupled with proficiency in data management and experience with the design of information management systems.  A degree or experience in a field relevant to security and an understanding of the Pacific Islands environment would be desirable.
