The Department of Philosophy at Maynooth University is seeking to appoint an Assistant Lecturer to provide sabbatical replacement for one academic year (ten months). The appointee’s area of specialization should be analytic philosophy.

The ideal candidate will be able to teach the following modules: Epistemology, Topics in Analytic Philosophy, and Digital Ethics. There is the option of following existing module descriptions, but the appointee would be free to design new modules corresponding to each of the three subject areas.

The appointee will be expected to serve on relevant departmental committees, but there will be no expectation of university-wide service. For this particular position, we are looking to appoint, above all, a qualified and engaging teacher.

Salary

Assistant Lecturer (2022): €35,598 (1 point)

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
