We are happy to be recruiting a temporary vacancy in our Management Information Team within the financial analysis and planning function. The University, and particularly finance is undergoing a large change agenda, modernising, and improving systems and processes and this role is a transitional role to support the team to deliver and embed the required change.  Successful applicants will be based on the Avery Hill Campus. The Senior FP&A Analyst will report to the Assistant Director of Finance (MI) and is a key role in updating and implementing improved systems and processes, analysis of revenue, reporting and the budget process as well as forecasting and fee modelling using advanced Excel in this period of change.  

The role will be responsible for delivering high quality and insightful analysis to help colleagues make informed decisions and the main duties include preparation of monthly management accounts, analytical reporting and working with the Finance and Planning Team to model revenue and student numbers including scenario modelling.  The role holder will also be required to process and analyse complex datasets leading to the construction of scenario-based forecasts  

The role would suit applicants who are interested in data analysis, working collaboratively, and developing a career in the Higher Education sector.   Qualified Accountant with proven experience of Financial Planning and analysis with experience of budgeting, forecasting and modelling revenue data. Experience of report writing and analysis of complex data in MX Excel Financial Modelling and the understanding of source data and data models is essential VBA and Access would be desirable 

You will work flexibly to provide support and assistance across a range of analysis activities, contributing to a consistent, professional, and welcoming service and ensuring that the planning systems (EPM) function effectively.
