Job Purpose
To assist the Head of Investment & Treasury in managing SUSS’s investment programme in accordance with established investment policy statement and strategic asset allocation as well as support SUSS’s treasury management activities.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Formulate, monitor and review of investment policies and strategies
- Conduct active research and due diligence on investment opportunities across multi-asset classes
- Develop scoring system to screen and evaluate the selection of external fund managers fairly and systematically
- Review performance and service levels of external fund managers, consultant, custodian and other service providers where appropriate
- Develop internal dashboard to track portfolio performance and risk metrics actively
- Monitor global market developments in order to recommend dynamic asset allocation or portfolio de-risking strategies where appropriate
- Implement investment decisions in accordance with Board of Trustees, Investment Committee and SUSS Management’s approvals
- Ensure that investment management, custody and related services comply with internal policies and guidelines
- Support general treasury management operations, which include cashflow forecasting, deposit/FX placements, liaison with banks and evaluation of new receipt/payment initiatives
- Ensure that opportunity cost of funds is kept at the minimum while maintaining adequate liquidity for operational needs
- Assist in Investment Committee meetings and ad-hoc administrative tasks
Job Requirements
- Degree in relevant discipline, preferably with CFA qualification
- Minimum 8 years of related work experience
- Highly driven and inquisitive with a passion for investment in financial markets
- Numerically inclined and analytical with an eye for detail
- Proficient computer skills with financial modelling experience
- Good presentation and report writing skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Hands-on and excellent team player
