Applications are invited for appointment as Research Manager (at the rank of Post-doctoral Fellow) in the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER) within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 514971), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess (i) a Ph.D. degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science or a relevant field; (ii) solid statistical and computing skills; (iii) effective communication skills in both writing and oral presentations in Chinese and English; and (iv) the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team to conduct educational research. Relevant work experience in managing projects in educational settings will be an advantage.
The appointee will work with the Principal Investigator to conduct research in a predominantly independent manner, and conduct systematic review of literatures and focus-group interviews in schools admitting various multicultural students. He/She will be responsible for developing experiment design; overseeing the timeline of project research outcomes; data collection, management, analysis and interpretation; preparing research reports and research papers; training research assistants; and performing other duties as assigned.
