The Natural Resources Institute (NRI) (www.nri.org) is an internationally renowned multi-disciplinary centre of the University of Greenwich that undertakes research, consultancy, teaching, and training to support food and nutrition security, sustainable development, economic growth, and poverty reduction mainly in developing countries. NRI’s work is globally respected and has won many awards including a recent Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Further and Higher Education. The Institute is located at the University’s vibrant Medway Campus in Chatham Maritime, Kent.

NRI is currently expanding its team of staff delivering its taught programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in food safety and quality management, food innovation and more generally in food science and technology. We are looking for a highly motivated individual capable of support complex administrative standards and systems within a teaching support office environment. The successful candidate will join a team of dedicated, professional services staff within NRI ensuring successful delivery of NRI’s business.

On a daily basis, you will support core student administrative activities such as student wellbeing, Faculty assessment panels, examinations administration, awards, ceremonies registration, attendance monitoring and retention. This role will be key in targeting segmented audiences (both Undergraduate & Postgraduate) with relevant content for both prospective students and applicants in a home (UK & EU) & international market. As such the job demands flexible approach, supporting courses and programmes in a dynamic and demand driven basis.

You will have proven experience of working in a busy student office using office IT systems to support delivery of graduate and postgraduate teaching experience. The role is based in a busy deadline-driven office in a teaching and research environment. You should also have an interest in, and commitment to, the work of the Institute.
