Role and Key Responsibilities

NTU is seeking an accomplished, visionary, and creative leader for the position of Chair, School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) who will offer strategic vision, expert management of resources and an open and communicative manner of dealing with a multi-talented international faculty.

The Chair of the School will also hold a concurrent Professorial appointment. The successful candidate will report to the Dean of the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Science (CoHASS) and is expected to provide leadership and oversight of the academic, intellectual, strategic and administrative affairs of the School. In addition, as a member of the Executive Committee of CoHASS, the Chair is expected to work closely with counterparts in the School of Social Sciences, the School of Humanities, and the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication & Information, as well as other Research Centers and Institutes to promote the ethos of cross-disciplinary innovation in research and teaching that is encouraged in NTU

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
