Position overview

Ursula Hall offers catered and self-catered accommodation to 400 undergraduate and postgraduate students. These students require pastoral care from dedicated and relatable ANU staff who can listen to their troubles and concerns.

Reporting to the Head of Residence, the Deputy Head is responsible for reinforcing the community aspect of living on campus as well as supporting the Head in relation to academic matters. You will develop productive relationships between staff and students across the Residence and also supervise Senior Resident leaders in volunteer roles.

Are you an energetic person looking to make a difference to the student experience of living on campus? We are looking for an employee to take up this unique position in a culturally diverse environment. You do not have to have formal qualifications in psychology or counselling but excellent communication skills, especially listening and empathy.
