Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Biological Sciences (Ref.: 515348), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Molecular/Chemical Biology, Biological Engineering, or a related discipline. Research experience in cell signaling, optogenetics, imaging, cell culture, Drosophila, is strongly preferred. They should also have good written and spoken English skills; a demonstrated track record of publishing academic research papers; creativity; self-motivation with a hard-working attitude; and the ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary team.
The appointee is expected to carry out investigations in the field of cell signaling programming of cell/tissue fate utilizing and developing optogenetic and live imaging techniques. Potential projects include but are not limited to: decoding signaling control of adult size, studying signaling in homeostatic maintenance, and understanding fate programing through dynamic developmental signaling patterns.
