Job Description

The Centre for Applied Research is looking for a Senior Officer (Research Support) to assist the department with financial support for research projects.

• Provide financial support for applied research projects
• Support procurement & AP activities for projects (using SAP RPA system)
• Ensure accuracy and sufficiency of procurement & AP supporting documents
• Ensure proper accounting of project expenses and government grants
• Prepare financial reports requested by external grantors
• Liaise with grantors on grant claim and audit matters
• Liaise with internal and external auditors on research grants
• Liaise with other stakeholders within SUSS on grant claims and audit

Job Requirements

• Hands on experience in accounting software such as SAP are preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Good internal controls, governance and risk awareness
• Dynamic, analytical, and meticulous with an eye for detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
