Widening access to PWP training lead (teaching fellow A or B depending on experience). Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Advanced Practice in Psychological Wellbeing Programme (0.3FTE). 18 months fixed term post.

Would you like to develop your leadership and teaching skills whilst contributing to the Advanced Practice in Psychological Wellbeing programme at the University of Surrey? Are you committed to supporting a wider range of people to access PWP training and to reach their full potential on the course? If so this exciting, fixed term position provides the perfect opportunity for the successful candidate to use and develop their leadership and educational skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a widening access to PWP training initiative at the University of Surrey. The project will involve a significant amount of consultation work with key stakeholders, the development of teaching and learning resources, the delivery of recruitment workshops and teaching and learning events, project evaluation and report writing. The successful candidate must be able to work Fridays and a Wednesdays or Thursday on the programme.

The ideal candidate will need to be a clinical or counselling psychologist, a high intensity therapist or an experienced psychological wellbeing practitioner (ideally with supervision experience). They should have experience of working in IAPT and demonstrable leadership and project management skills. The appointee will be a great communicator who is highly motivated, creative and able to act on their own initiative.  We would particularly welcome applications from individuals who identify as being from marginalised groups. The programme Is based within the School of Psychology, within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences (FHMS). The Faculty is a leading provider of undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare education, research and consultancy.  It has extensive links with local health care providers and is based in a modern, purpose built, state-of-the-art teaching facility on the University of Surrey campus in Guildford. The campus provides a pleasant working environment with close links to road and rail transport. Please note that some teaching takes place at a Kent venue.
