Job Description & Requirements For a research project on optical sensing in deployed optical fibers in the context of a quantum engineering research programme, we are looking to hire a Research Assistant for conducting experiments a in highly asymmetric Mach-Zehnder interferometer at telecom wavelengths.
The candidate will develop hardware and algorithms to extract sub-wavelength accuracy of the fiber length changes in real time through advanced signal processing techniques. Experience in optical physics, heterodyne spectroscopy, and/or software-defined radio techniques as well as programming experience is expected from a successful candidate.
