Job Description

The Lien Centre for Palliative Care (LCPC) in Duke-NUS Medical School aims to be the premier palliative care research and educational centre in the region. With generous support from the Lien Foundation, strategic collaborations with the National Cancer Centre Singapore and the broader SingHealth institutes within the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre, LCPC is poised for significant growth in the coming years.

LCPC is seeking a Research Assistant / Research Associate with project management and data collection skills to support the following areas:

  • Manage day-to-day operations related to study including IRB submissions and renewals, protocol initiation, participant recruitment, screening, consent, maintaining study logs, safety reporting, study close-out and records retention.
  • Assist Principal Investigator with development of survey questionnaire.
  • Develop subject recruitment strategies, identify barriers to enrolment, and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Survey participants face-to-face, over phone and web links.
  • Assist Principal Investigator with budget revisions, timelines, and progress reports for funders. 
  • Communicate with all research team members to ensure that project runs smoothly and to troubleshoot as needed. 
  • Provide regular progress reports to Principal Investigator and other team members.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in a related discipline.
  • Prior experience as a research coordinator/ research assistant or other related positions would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated good knowledge, skills and expertise in supporting various research activities.
  • Possess strong communication skills.
  • A strong team player and able to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce.
