The Sadler Laboratory in the Division of Sciences at New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to appoint a Research Scientist or Post-doctoral fellow, with appointment depending upon experience.  The laboratory studies the epigenetic basis of development, regeneration and disease in model and non-model organisms. We seek a creative scientist with a demonstrated track record of excellence in biological research using cutting edge imaging and genomics analysis on whole animal models to study the epigenetic basis of toxicant responses in the liver. We are a collaborative group dedicated to team science, and the ideal candidate will be a productive leader of their own project as well as enthusiasm for supporting projects led by others.

Responsibilities include leading a project to publication, with an outstanding capacity to communicate their scientific ideas, spearhead independent research projects and serve in a managerial capacity maintaining order in the lab and ensuring that the lab functions in a streamlined manner. Mentoring other lab members, including undergraduates, is integral to this position as is the ability to make progress in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in an area of Biological Sciences or related area, demonstrated excellent managerial and mentoring experience and demonstrated ambition in publications. This position requires excellent time management and organization skills in addition to technical proficiency in genomics analysis using bioinformatics approaches (R or Python) and cell biology techniques including advanced imaging. Experience with animal models is preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is a must. While completion of at least 2 years of post-doctoral training is preferred, exceptions based on experience will be considered.
