Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow (PDF) in the Department of Clinical Oncology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 515238), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal. 

The Department provides an open, supportive, dynamic and motivating academic environment with the possibility to work on the cutting-edge research project related to a clinical translational study to utilize the artificial intelligence (AI) for predicting cancer patient clinical outcomes using the multi-omics data and explore the therapeutic targets to improve treatment outcomes. The activities of PDF will be integrated in a multidisciplinary team.   

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Chemistry or a related discipline, with a good research publication record and strong programming skills. Preference will be given to those with previous experience in one or more of the following areas: identification of drug targets for pharmaceuticals by computational chemistry in the viral-associated cancers, development of algorithms for multi-omics data integration, modeling of biomolecules and their interactions in tumor microenvironment, application of AI models in life science.  Applicants should be self-motivated, able to work in a collaborative project involving both academic and industry groups. They should also have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, good trouble-shooting skills, and effective collaboration skills. 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
