Applications are invited for up one Post-doctoral Researcher to work with Professor Manos Tsakiris as part of THE ARTIS (Art and Research on Transformations of Individuals and Societies) project , a Horizon 2020-funded project under the call “Societal Transformations and the Arts.”

We are looking for talented, highly-skilled and motivated researchers with a PhD in Psychology or Media & Communication or Political Communication, with background in quantitative research (experimental design, data analysis and programming) and experience with online experiments. The focus of the research will be on studying if and how art experience may be linked to or influence political attitudes, whether and how engagement with art relates to various forms of political engagement and support for certain political structures and whether this relationship varies as a function of country-level variables. The research to be conducted will use a range of methodologies, bringing together insights from the arts and the humanities as well as social sciences.

The Psychology Department, located in Egham, close to Central London, has an excellent research profile (rated 6th in the latest Research Excellence Framework) and benefits from state-of-the-art research facilities (e.g. MRI, TMS, EEG, cognitive behavioural testing suites, Babylab).
