Job Description

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of NUS invites applications for Research Engineer who is well verse in remote sensing for civil engineering for a period of about 8 months.  
   
Successful applicant is expected to work under the City of Tomorrow NRF & MND funded project, Focus Area 2: Development of remote ground surface and structure settlement monitoring technologies based on real-time platform. Construction activities such as tunnelling can result in ground settlement. This project involves use of remote sensing to detect settlement profile of the ground condition. Successful candidate will enjoy the opportunity to work on real-life projects and development of software platforms.

Job Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor/ Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related fields  
• Experience and knowledge in remote sensing technologies  
• Strong motivation to self-teach and work independently on challenging engineering problems  
• General curiosity, critical thinking, and teamwork spirit   
• Strong verbal and written communication skills  
• Open to fixed-term contract
