Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Intellectual Property Law
The Dickson Poon School of Law is seeking to appoint to a Lectureship or Senior Lectureship (dependent on experience) an outstanding candidate with research and teaching expertise in Intellectual Property law. Interviews for this position are scheduled for Monday 27 June 2022.
The successful candidate will have a primary research interest in IP law and the ability to produce world leading research in this area, including an interest in how this research will have an impact in society.
The successful candidate’s principal teaching contribution will be in IP modules in our undergraduate programme, in particular the electives Intellectual Property Law and Intellectual Property Dissertation, and in our LLM programme, where we offer a specialist Intellectual Property and Information Law Pathway.
The successful candidate will be actively involved in the administration and academic life of a world leading law school, and will carry out administrative duties in the Dickson Poon School of Law.
The successful candidate will be responsible to the Executive Dean.
The Dickson Poon School of Law at King’s College London is one of the oldest law schools in England and recognised globally as one of the best law schools in the world. The Dickson Poon School of Law has a long history of strength in IP law. In addition to our undergraduate IP offerings and our Intellectual Property and Information Law Pathway, we offer a Diploma/ MA programme in UK, EU & US Copyright Law. Each year we select and coach a King’s team for the Oxford International Intellectual Property Moot, for which we were semi-finalists in 2021 and runners-up in 2022. Our IP academics conduct research in a range of areas, using doctrinal, empirical, historical, interdisciplinary and comparative methodologies. The successful candidate will join a supportive group of colleagues, with many opportunities for that person to develop professionally and take on leadership roles.
