We seek an enthusiastic Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader in Film and TV to lead the BA Hons Film and TV programme based on the newly formed school of Stage and Screen.

The successful candidate will be an experienced academic and Film and TV practitioner who has energy and passion for the student experience and can work well across multidisciplinary teams. They will also be excited to seek out interdisciplinary opportunities both within the UoG and externally and to promote, cultivate and engage with established and new networks. The ideal candidate will be able to evidence a thorough understanding of current filmmaking processes and their academic underpinning. A specialism in any of the recognised disciplines, whilst desirable, is not essential.

Most of the vacancy’s duties will involve leading the BA Hons in Film and TV Programme, including teaching in various settings, online and face-to-face studios; assessment; and pastoral and academic support to students, including supervising undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations. The post holder will take on the responsibility of undertaking the associated administration and quality assurance related to the delivery of specified modules of the programme. The successful candidate will engage in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF); Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF) professional practice across the subject area and contribute to the School of Stage and Screen practice research profile.

The successful candidate should have a Undergraduate and Post-graduate degree in one of the following: Film and TV, or other related to JD discipline, PhD in Film or related field (Completed or in near completion), Appropriate professional qualification or member of Film industry  and Fellow of HEA.
