The School of Design is part of the highly successful and vibrant faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences. We are seeking an enthusiastic practitioner to join us as a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Design and Animation Practice in the Design Anthropology Academic Portfolio of Programmes in the School of Design.

This is a unique opportunity to join a London-based design school with a vision to impact the world by focusing on sustainable development goals and addressing design diversity and design inclusion issues.

The successful candidate will be an inspirational practitioner who has energy and passion for the student experience and work well across multidisciplinary teams. They will also be excited to seek out interdisciplinary opportunities both within the UoG and externally and to agent, cultivate and engage with established and new networks. To complement the current team’s academic portfolio/s, we are particularly interested in applicants with specialist experience in Graphic Design and visual language and/or animation, motion graphics (theory and practice), and other related fields with competencies in both analogue and digital and with experience in International blended learning pedagogic practise research methods.

Most of the vacancy’s duties will involve teaching in various settings, including online and face-to-face studio, assessment, and pastoral and academic support to students, including supervising undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations. The post holder will take on the responsibility of Module Leader, undertaking the associated administration and quality assurance related to the delivery of specified modules. The successful candidate will engage in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF); Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF) professional practice across the subject area and contribute to the school's research profile.
