About This Opportunity

We currently have three positions available as Postdoctoral Research Fellows or Research Fellows to join the Digital Cultures and Societies Hub.

The Digital Cultures and Societies Hub in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is a five-year research initiative funded via the support of the Vice-Chancellor’s Strategic Funding Scheme and the HASS Faculty. The purpose of the hub is to build a vibrant research and intellectual culture together with quality outcomes, engagement and infrastructure in digital cultures and societies research.

The Hub includes investigators from disciplines across the humanities and social sciences, a digital research infrastructure including data science and software development support, and research fellows. We invite applications from researchers for 2-year research fellowships to commence in 2022 or early 2023.

These projects may address the Hub’s initial themes:

  • Digital and social media
  • Digital cultures, lives, bodies and intimacies
  • Digital platforms
  • Digital Asia
  • Algorithmic recommendation and the shaping of social reality
  • Computational language and media
  • Automation

We also welcome applications from researchers whose work intersects with digital cultures and societies in ways not specifically addressed in these themes.

This role is subject to The University’s Code of Conduct.
