About the opportunity

The Research School of Earth Sciences is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Educational Developer with an innovative mind, passion for education and appetite for refinement. Reporting to the Administration Manager, this role will support our teaching staff to provide an outstanding learning experience and work on projects to develop high quality solutions to improve the school education activities/operations.

About you

As part of the Education Team that provides support to school teaching activities and education administration, the Educational Developer will provide support in the areas of online and in-person classes to ensure that teaching can be conducted effectively and efficiently through the use of teaching and learning technology.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have experience in a range of innovative techniques to advance and support creative student-centered learning experiences, both blended and online, that are based on sound educational design principles.
  • Use your collaborative skills to design and deliver cutting edge eLearning and multimedia sites, in targeted curriculum areas to meet the teaching needs of the School and to work towards the strategic goals of RSES and ANU2025.
  • Partner with teaching staff to explore, design, and implement projects within the eLearning portfolio, ensuring that consistent and quality services are provided to all programs.
  • Provide expert advice, support and feedback to staff engaged in Education service delivery to achieve strategic goals with both LMS sites and course/unit of study content.
