As such, there exists an exciting opportunity located within the growing School of Health, Sport & Life Sciences (HSLS) to help shape the future of the Nursing and Allied Health workforce in Yorkshire. In this unique post, you will be responsible for developing and growing diverse placements for Health Care students. This will require significant partnership development across professions, geographical areas, and systems.

This is an opportunity for you to provide leadership to our interprofessional placement learning offer that includes partnership working across boundaries both internally and with practice partners. Our mission is to provide outstanding education for the future Nursing and Allied Health Workforce in a face-to-face, supportive and interprofessional community.

You will have knowledge, experience, and skills within the field of Nursing and Allied Health education, both clinically and academically including alternative models of practice learning, simulation, and virtual placement delivery.  You will also need to be a current registrant with one of the following: Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and have demonstrable expertise in supporting practice learning for professional students to meet NMC Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment (SSSA) and equivalent HCPC requirements.

You will need to be motivated, pro-active and engage with collaborative working, both as a team and with wider partners. We aim to ensure that we equip our students with the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace upon graduation and throughout their professional careers. As such, we not only focus on the acquisition of caring skills and knowledge, but also on vital transferable skills such as compassionate leadership and robust digital skills.
