Applications are invited for appointments as Research Officer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Ref.: 513813), to commence as soon as possible  on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary

Applicants should possess a PhD degree or above with at least 3 year’s relevant work experience. They must have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese; strong leadership, management, interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills; the ability to multitask, work independently and in a team; excellent time management; and analytical thinking. They should be highly motivated, dedicated, proactive, responsible, resourceful, collegial, and attentive to details. Experience in external relations, grant applications, and writing and publishing official documents is highly desirable.

The appointee will be responsible for providing research and engagement support to the research group, including but not limited to: liaising on research agreement with university departments/external parties/industry collaborators; supervising supporting staff and performing other duties as assigned.
