We are currently seeking an experienced dentist with current clinical practice and professional registration to deliver undergraduate training, drive research initiatives and undertake administrative duties.

The successful candidate will provide academic leadership in the teaching of oral surgery and anatomy, contribute significantly to the administration of the relevant subjects, and engage with ongoing curriculum development, especially the appropriate scaffolding of a descriptive, clinical and surgical anatomy curriculum.

It is expected that the successful candidate will progress an active research profile, including ongoing engagement in the scholarship of teaching and learning.

This position is required for face-to-face and online teaching and as such remote work options will not be accommodated. Generous financial assistance is available to help you relocate to take up this leadership opportunity.

The opportunity to provide clinical services in the Charles Sturt Oral Health and Dental Clinics upon negotiation with the Dean of Dentistry and Oral Health and the Clinical Director may be considered.

To be successful you will have:

  • Evidence of full registration as a Dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • A doctoral qualification, relevant to the discipline or evidence of equivalent accreditation, expertise and standing in oral surgery
  • A record of significant achievement relevant to clinical dentistry, and at a national level, in the scholarship of teaching and/or research or professional activity
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships and networks
